On the picture an enrobed man is standing on the peak of a mountain, but more importantly he has climbed a spiritual mountain. To reach there worldly possessions has been abandoned, needed now is only his robe, wand and lamp.
It is not for everyone to become like a monk, but reaching insights requires some kind of purification, a removal of what is more distracting than essential. Whether it's an abundance of physical items, or chatting unnecessarily a sacrifice has to be made.
The man has found inner light, shown by the star in his lantern. Now he is guided by his own light, not the reflection of someone else's realisations. Years has passed, he has experience now, is more ready for what the world will send him.
