Queen of Swords

The Card: She is sitting on her throne with a stern look, raised left hand, and sword held vertical like a sceptre. Her garments are light grey, red; the cape Blue and White like the sky. An angel is decorating the throne, along with Butterflies, which also are on her golden crown.

The white Cumulus clouds are seen behind her, against the blue sky, as if the hilltop where she is sitting, is high.

Interpretation: She has finished her battles, there is no longer great agitation in her min. She has mentally separated from that, now commanding from a place of more clarity and calmness. But the look on her face is hard and unyielding, the fights by which she won her throne, high among the clouds, has made her loose heart.

Butterflies on both throne and Crown are inviting her to be light and change. Likewise her 'Sky-cape' is symbolising moveability. But even though she has put these things on she has not yet been able to honour their call. This woman is in command though, she knows what she is doing and what she wants. There is experience in her look.

Prediction: I have fought, now I have come into authority. My mind is no longer running loose. Now I will have to relearn flexibility, adaptability, change and lightness, because I have become too rigid. From my acquired vantage position I will learn a new level of humility.
