4 Cups

The Card: A young man is sitting on a grass-green hill, with his back against a tree. His vest is green as the grass; underneath he is wearing a red shirt. On the legs he has got grey/green tights. He is looking at 3 cups, standing on the grass in front of him. A fourth cup is being held by a hand appearing from a little cloud.

Interpretation: The young man is closed in his energies, both legs and arms are crossed. His eyes are fixed on a point in front of him. Perhaps he is seeing the 3 cups not as gifts but as obstacles, pondering his misfortune and how to continue from this point.

However an alternative to his imagined problems are poking at him, from his subconscious, but since he is closed and wrapped around himself, he is not able to hear that the solutions is already there. There is always a way out if we are willing to listen, but openness is required, our answer may not lie where we expect it.

Prediction: In the time to come I may feel compelled to isolate myself from the world, but unknowingly I also loose connection with intuitions and inspirations. Perhaps I don't see a way out of my present worries, what ever they are. But the answer is right there, in front of me. If I allow it in the guidance and help is at hand.

3 Cups

The Card: Three enrobed women are each lifting a cup high, facing each other. One in red, one in white, and one in Brown and white. Vegetables are growing in the soil. The sky behind them is blue.

Interpretation: The 3 women are saluting, holding their cups high in a celebration of the feminine, fertility and life. The ground is covered with an abundant harvest, we are being nurtured with everything we need.

You can see them saying, 'see my cup is full, and I offer it all to the common good, to sustain us all. Or you can see them saying, 'life provides everything, if we hold our cup forward it will be filled to the rim and more. Perhaps they are dancing, celebrating the harvest. The cup receives and the cup gives, it is a vessel. The feminine principle of the womb.

Prediction: Enjoy, give and receive, it is time to celebrate. Dance and be free you need not worry about the future. Seasons come and go, but right now the barn is full, you can relax and sing.

2 Cups

The Card: A man and a woman are each holding their cup with one hand, touching each others hands with the other. She wears blue like the sky, he wears yellow like the ground. Above them is the winged lion, between them 2 serpents intertwining around a staff. A green hill with a house and trees is seen behind them.

Interpretation: It looks like a union is going on here. Both the man and the woman are each bringing their share, their cup, into the relationship / connection. They are coming together with some experience, deliberately probing each others hands, testing what is there. Their expressions are neutral and observing.

The winged lion above them, symbolises strength, courage, power, wisdom and spirit. As a union of the lord of the animals and the lord of the birds, an extremely powerful being. Thus the union of the 2 people is strong. The wings, the staff and 2 serpents can also be seen together as a Caduceus: The winged staff of Hermes, messenger between gods and humans, and a guide to the lower world. Also a symbol of medicine, the otherwise poisonous snakes are here in balance.

The picture is nearly symmetric down the middle. The 2 people are mirroring each other, seeing in the other, what is in them selves. Giving them the chance to heal what needs healing; their relationship together is a healing journey. They are greatly empowered by snakes, staff and lion. They are ready to live together in the beautiful house behind them, not needing to go anywhere, it is an inner journey.

Prediction: Some maturity has been reached, I know what I am doing. From this point I am in / enter relations with purpose, purpose of becoming more conscious. I approach with caution, but openly and aware. I'm well on my way, doing the needed, knowing the love is the strongest healer, unconditional love. There is courage, because I know there is nothing to loose.

Ace of Cups

The Card: A white radiant hand is seen against a grey sky, emerging from a grey cloud. It's holding a golden cup which is connected to waters with lotus flowers, by 5 pillars of water. A white pigeon is above the cup, holding a coin with a cross in its beak. An inverted 'M' is seen on the cup.

Interpretation: It looks like the cup is being offered, by 'God', The Great spirit, or Love, to the world, or you !. A pigeon is adding the 4 elements to the cup, itself being the 5^th element.

Water is flowing from the cup, 5 jets, and there is enough water to fill a lake or all of the oceans.Leaves are also falling from the cup, as a blessing to the earth.

It is a picture of abundance, there is enough of everything to everyone. When trust and acceptance is there, you will always have for your immediate needs, and more !. There is flow and belief.

Prediction: There is no need to loose faith in the time to come. There may have been doubt since this card has come, but it reassures that everything is available, if I trust and let go. My life is always full to the rim; even if I give and give, the cup will never empty. It is the principle of love, the more I give the more I get. With this cart, connections are likely to be made, with its strong suggestions of sharing.
